What’s in a Name? Creative Oundle is a charitable organisation based in Oundle responsible for delivering a range of community focussed arts projects and events across the Oundle area. Previously called The Oundle Music Trust, we have been in existence for almost forty years and are responsible for Open Gardens, the Oundle International Festival, The Oundle Food Festival, Oundle Cinema, Oundle Comedy, and the globally acclaimed Oundle for Organists courses for young organ players from around the world.

Thanks to a Covid Grant from the Arts Council we were able (amongst other things) to update our website, rebrand and rename the charity ‘Creative Oundle’ which we feel better covers our wide range of offerings. Somewhere in the mix we have failed to get across to our customers that we are the same as before, just with a new snappy name and brightly coloured posters.

This year, Creative Oundle are running fewer events, but we have managed to keep the stalwarts, Open Gardens, Food Festival, Party at the Wharf, Organ recitals in some of our beautiful churches – and, excitingly, have added one new event, our inaugural Comedy Event! We are hoping that this will be a runaway success and are planning a fun evening with a bar available before the event and during an interval, and with a cosy layout with small tables rather than just rows of chairs.

Bookings are now open for our Summer Events. Early booking is strongly advised to take advantage of our discounted prices and, as in previous years at the Party at The Wharf, you can also reserve a gazebo pitch. Bring along friends for what promises to be two fun packed evenings or come for some beautiful organ music in lovely local church settings.
