Local author Jane Isaac lives in Loddington and will release her new book In the Shadows on this May. Married to a retired detective, Jane can often be found trudging over the fi elds with her dogs, Bollo and Digity.

Jane’s debut novel, An Unfamiliar Murder, introduced DCI Helen Lavery and was nominated as best mystery in the ‘eFestival of Words Best of the Independent eBook awards 2013. The Truth Will Out, the second in the DCI Helen Lavery series, was selected as ‘Thriller of the Month - April 2014’ by E-thriller.com and winner of ‘Noveltunity book club selection - May 2014’.

Jane has also written the DI Will Jackman series, set in Stratford upon Avon, and the DC Beth Chamberlain (Family Liaison Offi cer) series, set in Northamptonshire, in addition to standalone psychological suspense novels.

In the Shadows is Jane’s thirteenth novel and the fi fth in the highly acclaimed DCI Helen Lavery series.
