Make a date with Rockingham International this year! Now in its seventh year, the Horse Trials offer a great day out for all the family with plenty to see and do for all ages, a wide range of trade stands to be explored and a variety of delicious food and drink stands on site selling everything from coffee and cake to ostrich burgers! There is even a havea-go dog agility ring so canine family members can get involved. Riders from around 20 nations are expected to compete over the three days, so there will be plenty of action for visitors to enjoy. The Loomes Championship will also return this year, with the hugely generous prize of a hand-produced watch made by Robert Loomes & Co in Stamford. To date, it has not been won by a woman, so will 2019 see the first female winner? Not surprisingly, opportunities for amateur riders to compete at this incredible venue are also hugely popular and, once again, Pony Club Team Show Jumping, Riding Club Team Show Jumping and Arena Eventing classes will be available. James and Lizzie Saunders Watson are delighted to be opening up their stunning estate once again. The family sees the Horse Trials as a great highlight of the year and something they all look forward to; it is a privilege to be able to host such high-quality sport at Rockingham and they look forward to welcoming competitors and spectators for this year’s event. Ticket prices start from just £10 for adults and £3 for children, with children aged five and under getting in free. A 10% discount is available if tickets are bought before the event – enter the code HT1910 when booking online. For more information and to book tickets visit ROCKINGHAM CASTLE |
