Hot Air Balloon and Jazz Night

The popular Hot Air Balloon and Jazz Night makes a return to Kelmarsh Hall in this summer on Friday 4th July. Gates open at 6pm, with the event starting at 7pm. Guests can listen to some great jazz from The Ginger Pig Band - with a special guest from New Orleans - set to the spectacular sight of hot air balloons taking off from beyond the lake, weather permitting. This is an open air event - bring along a picnic, chairs or a rug and enjoy a unique summer evening’s entertainment. A pay bar will be available.

Tickets booked in advance are £15 for adults, £8.50 for children (under 5s free) or on the

Kelmarsh Hall & Painting in the Garden

Kelmarsh Hall’s Painting in the Garden workshops offer artists of all abilities the chance to improve their skills, using the beautiful gardens at Kelmarsh as inspiration. The sessions take place Thursday 17th & 31st July and Thursday 21st & 28th August from 11am to 12 noon and 1-2pm and the cost is £7.50 or £12 for both sessions on the same day, which includes garden admission. Some materials are provided but it is recommended that you bring your own that you are used to working with as well as your own chair.

History Live! - English Heritage

Experience 2,000 years of history in one weekend at English Heritage’s fl agship event at Kelmarsh Hall on Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th July. Kelmarsh Hall’s events site will be
transformed into a festival of historical entertainment for all ages, with the return of History Live!, Europe’s largest living history event. Over 2,000 re-enactors, costumed interpreters and performers will come together as English Heritage brings thrilling story of England’s past to life. Storytelling in the Garden

Children will be transported into a magical world of adventures with our Storytelling in the Garden. Step into our walled garden for a truly unique experience that will keep children
captivated. Tom the Tale Teller presents Stories from the Story Stick, which gives children the opportunity to choose a story from one of the many and varied pictures that adorn the Story Stick. From birds to beast, mythical creatures to fairy tale characters, which story will be chosen next? Pick a story and sit back, enjoy and, maybe even join in, with a story from hundreds of years ago or just the other day, the other side of the world or just around the corner. Stories will be told at set times on Wednesday 30th July & 13th August from 11am to 4pm, with children’s activities available during the breaks. Normal garden admission fees apply - free entry for children under 5.

Outdoor Floristry Demonstrations

Flower-arranging demonstrations will take place in the walled kitchen garden on Thursday 14th & 28th August from 12 noon to 1pm. Entry is included in the garden admission fee.

Tea Room and Gift Shop

The Tea Room and Gift Shop are open from 11am to 5pm, Tuesdays through Thursdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays throughout the garden open season, which ends on 25th September. The Tea Room serves daily specials and has a wide variety of freshly prepared cakes to enjoy. Please note that visitors can come along to the Tea Room during opening hours without having to pay
for entry to the Hall or gardens.
