Could you be the 2012 Oundle Young Musician or Young Singer, or a Young Performer in the Speech section?

Now is the time to think about your entries with final closing date on 30th January. The Syllabus is now available: there are classes in music and speech to suit every type and age of performer. Why not take a look and see what you can do? No one can be too old, too young or too inexperienced to enter. Just come along and take part or if this is not your
scene come as a visitor!

New for 2012 is a class for International Folk Songs with or without instrumental accompaniment, maybe this is an opportunity for competitors whose first language is not English? Competitors come from a wide area: already interest has been expressed from choirs in Braintree and Nottingham, and from organists from Bedford.

The Festival is held in the premises of Oundle School, with all the facilities they offer, from Wednesday 18th April to Saturday 21st April. Oundle Festival is affiliated to the British and International Federation of Festivals and as such employs adjudicators of the highest ratings.

Last year, after a review by the Federation Representative, the report stated that Oundle
was: ‘A very good example of the best in spirit, organisation and performance within our
festival movement’.
