Appreciating Murano Glass
Murano is located a mile from the main city of Venice, and it is believed that glassmaking started here as far back as 8th century Rome.
By the end of the 16th century, Murano was a leading European glassmaking centre which continued to evolve becoming famous for artistic and elaborate glasswares.
These centuries-old skills are still used by Murano craftsmen today. The product range is vast and is exemplified by the Murano magic that creates infinite combinations of transparent colours.
