Did you know that many of our villages host group walks which are part of England’s largest network of health walk schemes, helping thousands of people across the country lead a more active lifestyle?

Our walks are all led by friendly, specially trained volunteers who are on hand to provide encouragement and support, and make sure no one gets left behind. Our walks are short and over easy terrain. They are open to everyone!

So, whether you’re just starting to get active, or you’re looking for a regular activity to help you stay active in the long run, joining a short group walk in your local area could help you feel great. It’s also a brilliant way to meet new people, have a friendly chat along the way and then enjoy a rest and refreshments afterwards.

North Northamptonshire Council co-ordinate the local Walking for Health scheme and offer a number of short, friendly and inclusive walks that are free to join and within easy reach of where you live.

Our walks run every week to help you establish a routine, are ideal for beginners and there is no need to book in advance, just turn up and say hello to the Walk Leader on the day!

We currently have a fantastic variety of walks across North Northamptonshire and all the details can be found by visiting our dedicated Walk Finder webpages:
