Northants Village Cinema January 2023

Your own village hall could soon be hosting Tom Cruise, George Clooney, or any fi lm star you choose!

The ‘Northants Village Cinema’ brings Hollywood direct to rural communities across Northants, helped by funding from both FILMHUB MIdlands and the Northamptonshire Community Foundation. Films are projected onto a 3m wide screen and all the necessary equipment is brought to your venue.

Many villages have already booked, but extra venues can be added up to April. A village just needs its own volunteer to book dates (usually monthly), promote the event to their community and sell the tickets (on the door) planning to attract at least 25 people. They may already be part of a local group meeting up. The fi lm must be available on DVD and it is recommended to use titles selected by the project, preferably the most popular. The latest list includes the charming ‘Mrs Harris Goes To Paris’, blockbuster sequel ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, George Clooney & Julia Roberts new rom-com ‘Ticket To Paradise’, and the intriguing story of fi nding Richard III’s hidden resting place in Leicester, ‘The Lost King’.
