Races will include British marques such as Cooper, Brabham, Tyrell, McClaren, Lotus and Williams. There will be 14 categories, with qualifying on Friday followed by racing on Saturday and Sunday. There will also be a major display of the UK’s rarest cars; these are mainstream cars of the past most of which have now become endangered species. There will be around 50 vehicles displaying on each of the three days where enthusiasts can expect to see types such as the Allegro, Fiat 127, Hillman Hunter and MG Metro.

Three nights of rousing entertainment kicks off with The Cuban Brothers and Björn Again on Friday evening, Sister Sledge and Gabrielle on Saturday, and Sundays’ line up has Rick Astley and The Shires.

Centre piece of the Foodie Fest is Jeremy Clarkson’s exalted Diddly Squat Farm Shop, which has achieved cult status drawing huge crowds to his Cotswold base. There will also be demos from celebrity chefs, a tasting tent and an artisan market celebrating “Made in Northamptonshire”. A Vintage Funfair, shopping mall and hot air balloons round off the fun.
