Bake & Brew in Brigstock celebrated its fi rst
anniversary in May. Set up by Marzena Wade who
after ten years as a dedicated teacher wanted to fulfi l
a dream of owning a coffee shop , Bake & Brew has
received great support from the local community
during its fi rst year in business and has gained a
growing circle of customers from surrounding villages
and towns. Having served take-away only during all
three lockdowns, Marzena and her team are happy
to welcome customers indoors once more.

Macarons are Marzena’s speciality but she also
enjoys baking other sweet treats as well as savoury
snacks such as sausage rolls and pasties. You will
fi nd a selection of pies and slices to meet all needs,
including vegan and gluten-free options, as well
as Hambleton bread and tarts. The latest addition
to the Bake & Brew display is an ice cream cart,
just in time for the summer months. During colder
months, toasties and freshly made soup served with
Hambleton bread are on the menu.

The high-quality coffee, Agua Santa, with
its smooth fi nish is sourced from Brazil
as direct trade, and all the packaging is
eco-friendly and compostable. Over 15
fl avours of award-winning Novus teas
and a vast variety of drinks, including
smoothies, are available for you to enjoy.
Marzena hopes that, in the future, she
can provide customers with a space to get
together for group meetings, parties and
other celebrations.

Bake & Brew is open Tuesday to Friday
9am to 4pm, and Saturday & Sunday
10am to 3pm.
