Creative Oundle is the new name of the
organisation which brings together under one
brand Oundle International Festival, Oundle
for Organists, Oundle Cinema and Oundle
Food Festival. The Oundle International
Festival is taking place from Saturday 10th
to Saturday 17th July in many venues, both
indoors and out, in and around the beautiful
and historic town of Oundle, with the Food
Festival on Saturday 24th July.

OIF begins with a gala piano recital given by
Melvyn Tan, one of the world’s great pianists,
hosted at Boughton House by the Duke of
Buccleuch. If you are not able to make it, don’t
worry, one of our major innovations for 2021
is that we are planning to live stream many
of our concerts, including this one, for you to
enjoy in the comfort of your own home: make
an evening of it with friends, champagne and
nibbles!

Our opening Oundle on Show weekend
features Open Gardens, pop up performances,
and a Gardeners’ Questions event featuring a
panel of well-known experts: Ursula Buchan,
Bunny Guinness, Johnnie Amos and Nicholas
Warliker.

Lunchtime recitals present young professional
performers on the cusp of major careers, and
there are three organ recitals given by world
class organists who are tutors on the Oundle
for Organists Summer School which happens
at the same time as the International Festival.
Evening events include the Budapest Café
Orchestra. West-End cabaret kings Ferris &
Milnes, sing along to the classic fi lm Summer
Holiday, and outdoor theatre too. The festival
ends with a great community get-together in
Party at the Wharf, starring the Saturday Night
Bee Gees supported by The Atlantics.
