Oundle Fringe is back for 2021! A showcase for local performers as well as bands from further afi eld, the Fringe runs from Thursday 8th to Saturday 17th July (parallel with Oundle International Festival) and nearly all events are free. With events at lunchtime, early and late evening, there’s something for everyone, ranging from vintage blues and rock’n’roll to classical fl ute and fl amenco guitar, and from bluegrass and folk to drama and dance. For ten days, the pubs, cafés and restaurants of Oundle will be buzzing with sound. It’s not all music - Drama on Tap is an evening of improvised drama with everyone welcome to come and have a go, and there’s the chance to test your music and literary knowledge with the lighthearted Fringe quiz.

Highlights include classic blues and rock covers band The Kobras, The Weekenders playing songs by the likes of Adele, Abba and Elton John, authentic bluegrass from The Down County Boys, singer/ guitarist Matt Carter, Mississippi blues from Jonathan Townsend, and classical guitar from Steve Bean. New acts this year include exciting young indie ban Hive Society from Brighton, and Lexie Green, a singer/ songwriter from the fenlands with infl uences of “Americana, vintage blues, country & good ole rock ‘n’ roll”. And if you are musician yourself, why not bring an instrument and join in with The Big Folk Session at The Ship on Sunday 11th July?
