Hands up if you’ve ever bought plants at a garden centre purely because they looked colourful? Whether they’re suitable for your garden or not we can’t resist a hit of colour can we, especially at this time of year. It’s the reason most people’s gardens look their best in May; you might as well be waving a white fl ag in surrender.

The only way to resist this overwhelming temptation is to make informed decisions and that’s where I can help. An hour at a garden centre when you’re in ‘feel good freefall’ can be expensive. So, as a follow on to my garden doctor service, I’m now offering to accompany you to the garden centre to help you spend more wisely – so no matter how colourful and tempting the display might look, if it isn’t suitable for your garden, I can advise accordingly and point you in the direction of plants that will be better suited.

Simply book an appointment for me to visit your garden and then when we go to the garden centre together, I’ll know what’s best for it. And even if the sun’s shining and we’re surrounded by tempting displays of colour at least you’ll have an expert by your side to help prevent you from falling foul of the dreaded… impulse buy.
