A FOR AREA

When we are unhappy with our current reality, life can snowball from a small niggle into an overwhelming mess.

Whilst you may be unhappy with many aspects of your life, for today, just start with one area you want to change. We achieve more when we make small consistent steps rather than feisty major changes.

What area do you want to change the most in your life?

It could be your job, dietary choices, fi nances, home, relationships, or bringing your heartfelt dreams to fruition.

B FOR BEGINNING

Before you protest that now is not the right time for creating positive changes, I want to tell you there is no right time, just a clear decision to begin in the here and now. The trick to creating positive changes is to start before you feel ready.

Focusing on the one area you most want to change, write down what you truly want. If you are more of the negative mindset, start by thinking about what you do not want and working back from there.

Do you need to enrol on an educational evening class so you are working towards leaving your unhappy workplace? Fancy joining a local walking group to improve your health and social situation? Wondering about working with a life coach to help support you through the positive changes ahead?

We can get so stuck in our comfort zone, hiding away due to a fear of the unknown, or from putting the needs and wants of others before our own. However, no matter how much you resist or refuse to change your life, life is going to naturally change, so wouldn’t you rather be part of the change process?

C FOR CREATION

Start each day by creating a positive way to begin each new twenty-four hours, as how you start the day is inevitably how you spend the day. When you wake up, take a few moments to name fi ve things you are grateful for. As you get out of bed, make it, as this small action has been scientifi cally proven to give a sense of achievement before your day has barely begun. Break all your big aims into small positive habits which you slowly build on with each passing day.
