Vegetation Management Training (VMT) was set up this year to provide high-quality accredited training to the forestry, arboricultural and landscaping industries. Working with Lantra, whose training is designed by the industry for the industry, a huge range of courses and qualifi cations from entry-level introductory courses through to expert-user qualifi cation are on offer. Developed by industry experts who know the sector inside out and including a mix of training only and assessed training options, the courses are packed with technical content to help you develop and succeed in your career.

VMT believes that it is the personal touches that make their training stand out. From your initial contact, the team will ensure that your training needs are met, whether as an individual, small business or large corporation through both off-the-peg and bespoke training packages. The VMT website allows for effi cient booking of planned courses but most importantly the team will always look to react to your training needs, be that training for a new starter, a realisation that a refresher ticket is due or the forward planning of future training. In addition, VMT offers a training management service, discussing and planning your training over a yearly basis and taking the hassle out of planning.

Based in Wellingborough, VMT will be working with Boughton House Estates team to allow its candidates access to highquality work environments, refl ecting the knowledge that industry-relevant courses need an industry-relevant location for training. With a wide range of vegetation within the beautiful estate, VMT can simulate real-life worksites, ensuring that the skills that you develop will serve you in your working tasks. The water-based training takes place at Nene Water Centre in Northampton to ensure that you are competent in a range of water conditions. Class-based training is offered at a range of locations in Northamptonshire.

Current offer of courses includes the use of industry tools, vehicles, health and safety including fi rst aid, ROLO, water awareness and pesticide use.
