Celebrate Your Community with Northamptonshire Village Awards 2020
What is good about your village? A great place to live? Lots going on? A good community spirit? Environmentally friendly? …the list could be endless. So why not celebrate the good things about where you live and enter your village for the 2020 Northamptonshire Village Awards?

Village awards in Northamptonshire have been around for some years in various guises. The awards are now sponsored by the Northamptonshire branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) and administered by Northamptonshire ACRE. The awards are not for the best looking village, as they were many years ago, but for those many things that make a village a good place to live such as community projects, groups and activities, village events and community awareness. Any Parish Council or community group can enter, so why not take the lead and talk to your Parish Council or form a group to put together an application?

The closing date is 28th February 2020 and judging will take place during the spring, with the awards being presented in July. This year Gold, Silver and Bronze awards will be given. Last year, residents of the village of Glapthorn, who had entered for the first time, were thrilled to be the overall winner.

The application form is simple – the prestige of winning is great, so why not enter your village?
