Sponsored once again by AGA Oundle and Hambleton Bakery, the Oundle Food Festival has become a highlight in the local foodies’ diaries when over 75 stallholders will gather in Oundle’s town centre on Saturday 22nd June from 9am to 4pm.  The market offers a chance to meet people who grow, raise, bake, brew, distil and make the range of treats on sale and to find out about their crafts.

The bunting and bustle of the busy street market will be held in the Market Place and New Street and is a sight to behold.  Whilst many stallholders, such as Yum Yum Tree Fudge, New Lodge Farm, Munchy Seeds, Riverford Organic Delivery, Saxby’s Cider,  Lincolnshire Poacher and many more, will return by popular demand, there are also some newcomers: Burtree Puddings, Mrs A’s Bakes and Sun & Moon Juice.

The Oundle Fringe Festival will provide yet another hugely enjoyable programme of music and dance, which includes the ever popular Appalachian dance groups Tap n Sync and Kickstart, folk groups Tourdion and The Gathering, shanty singers The Lincolnshire Poachers, the Wansford Ukulele Folk and Michelle Murray’s Highland Dancers.  Family entertainment from Corby’s Balls Up Juggling Club and the Nene Valley Festival crew, will make the street market a great family day out with a fantastic atmosphere.  To top it all - admission is free!

Food Festival visitors are also encouraged to explore the wonderful shops and welcoming eateries which line the streets where the market is held.  A visit to the Oundle Bookshop where cookery author and ex Oundle School pupil Rukmini Iyer will be signing her latest book on the day between 11am to 2pm.  In the run up to the Festival, the Oundle-based kitchenware shop Stu-Pots, butchers Seven Wells and Trendalls as well Food Festival sponsors Hambleton Bakery are offering promotions when you show a Food Festival flier.  AGA Oundle is running cookery events, one of which includes wines from the town’s infamous Amps Fine Wines.

The Oundle Food Festival aims to support local businesses, voluntary and charitable organisations and it is supported of many dedicated volunteers and businesses to make it all happen.  In 2019, visitors
will have the chance to win one of the many tremendous prizes donated by the stallholders and local businesses in the Festival Raffle the proceeds from which helps support the continuation of important community events such as the Food Festival in Oundle’s annual calendar.  It is day which is enjoyed by visitors of all ages!
