Back again for the 23rd year, the ever popular Titchmarsh 3km Fun Run and 10km Road Race will take place on Sunday 12th May.  With an outand-back course on closed roads through the stunning, undulating East Northamptonshire countryside, this popular running event has something for everyone.  Whether you are a fun runner or more serious about running we can offer you a Run Britain Licenced event, UK Athletics certified course and we will even guarantee fantastic weather (probably)!  Profits from the event will be going towards the Playing Fields Association’s Play Area Redevelopment project.

Starting at 10am, the 3km Fun Run is great for all the family (children aged 8 and over can run unaccompanied) and attracts a large field of entrants.  The 10km Road Race starts at 11am and has a minimum entry age of 15 – in 2018 we had our largest ever combined field and things just keep getting bigger and better; can we beat it again in2019?  Registration is open now through our website or is possible on the day.  We recommend registering for the race in advance to avoid disappointment as the size of the field is strictly limited.  On-the-day entries will close 20 minutes before each race to allow for an on time start.

The Titchmarsh Playing Fields Association is once again organising these races and, along with our army of volunteers, look forward to giving you a warm welcome into our charming village.  There is free Car Parking on the Playing Fields at the end of Dryden’s Close (NN14 3DD) along with ample Toilet and Changing Facilities.  Race Registration will take place at the Clubroom on the High Street just up from the Start and Finish line (alongside The Wheatsheaf Pub).  Refreshments will be available at several locations.  There will be water stations along the route and a ‘tail-end’ vehicle will ensure that no-one is left behind!

Please note that, due to road closures for the safety of our competitors, access to Titchmarsh on the day will only be from the A605 (Thrapston-Oundle road).   It will not be possible to enter Titchmarsh directly from the A14 at Junction 14 or from the direction of Clopton.

So, if you’re a keen runner or enthusiastic jogger, are looking for some motivation or for a Sunday event to do as a whole family, dig out those trainers, dust off the Lycra and look for those sweatbands.  The Titchmarsh 2019 Running Races are coming!
