Sponsors and prizes wanted! Following the success of the 2017 Ball which raised £27,000 for local cancer patients, tickets are now on sale for the 2019 Northants Macmillan County Ball which will take place at Wicksteed Park on 11th May. Guests will be welcomed at a drinks reception, which will be followed by a three-course meal, dancing to a live band and disco, with casino tables, an auction and raffle. Macmillan Cancer Support is funding many local roles but the Ball will be supporting the funding of a Breast Care Support worker at NGH, together with a countywide recovery package to assess all cancer patients’ care and social needs. So far the charity has received sponsorship from David Williams IFA, Bambino Mio, The Numbersmith, 10ca, Wicksteed Park and The Rose Gallery, but would welcome more. Any business that donates £1,000 will be given a table for ten people at the event as well as publicity on Macmillan Northhants’ website and social media pages, although any donations would be gratefully received. The team would also be grateful for any prizes for the auction or raffle too. The inaugural ball in 2017 was a fantastic occasion and what better way to support a cause so important to so many people than by getting a table of friends together for an evening of fabulous food and entertainment? Tickets cost £75 per person or £700 per table for ten.
