The beginning of a brand new year often prompts us to adopt new habits or take on new activities with the intention of making us happier and healthier, fitter and wiser.

It has been suggested that it takes at least 21 days for a new habit/ regime to become a fixed pattern.  The main ingredients for this to be successful are will power and mindfulness; in other words, the determination to cement the change and the awareness to cease the old unwanted patterns of thinking or behaviour when they surface.

If, in the past, you have found this difficult or impossible, you are not alone!  How many times have you made much desired resolutions for change only to discover some time on that you have slipped back into your old habits? Why is it so difficult to stick to your resolve?

The answer is that all habitual behaviour patterns are deep-seated in the subconscious part of the mind and, as this is the most powerful part of our mind, it is extremely difficult for the conscious, critical part of the mind to make any lasting impact.

This is where seeking assistance from a clinical hypnotherapist pays dividends.  When you learn the art of self-hypnosis it is possible to change well-worn habit patterns for good; whether they present in the form of constant anxiety, eating the wrong things, smoking, fears, lack of self-belief, obsessional behaviours, unwanted habits, low mood, etc.

Hypnotherapy is a safe, effective process which can help you to achieve your goals in a relatively short space of time.  If you are ready to change and want to find out how hypnotherapy can help you do it, please contact Anne for more information.
