Unique and quality furniture and home accessories will give plenty inspiration. maxwell bill works with suppliers who ethically produce and source products, the majority handmade by talented artisans from across the world. From Atlantic Blankets handmade in Cornwall, Fair Trade suppliers Nkuku, Dassie Artisan and Paper High, to Industville Ltd with a fabulous range of lights and the cool Blaze On too. Educational and fun toys from great suppliers include Orange Tree Toys, Le Toy Van, Playmobil and crochured animals from Anne Claire Petit. maxwell bill is the brainchild of Samantha Parkin, who loves being creative and has dreamt of opening a shop with unique homely products for some time. Having previously worked in HR for over 25 years and prior to this in hospitality including working as a pastry chef on the QE2, Samantha decided to take the leap, with the backing and support of her family, and started the search for a character shop, building her business plan and saving some money. The shop is named after the family dog of fourteen years, a German Shepherd/Collie cross. Character shops are rare, so Samantha was delighted to have secured the premises in the conservation area along Piccadilly Buildings opposite the Kettering Library. Every day is now exciting for Samantha and she enjoys demonstrating and sharing her passion with customers for ethically sourced, handmade products for the home and family.
