Kelmarsh Hall and Gardens are holding exciting events over the spring season, including the annual Spring Walk with a new Spring Fair, and a four-day Grand Opening for the ‘Below Stairs’ conservation project. Sunday 4th March Spring Fair and Spring Walk Kelmarsh are hosting their annual Spring Walk on the 4th of March alongside an exciting new Spring Fair, to say thanks to lottery players.  The Spring Fair will host lots of beautiful craft, gift and food stalls as well as our annual, family-friendly Spring Walk through the Kelmarsh Gardens and a first-view of the Heritage Lottery Funded ‘Below Stairs’ experience. 

Entry fees for the Spring Fair and Spring Walk: £3.50 for adults or free with a valid lottery ticket, and children’s entry is £2. S

unday 1st through Wednesday 4th April Grand Opening of ‘Below Stairs’ The Grand Opening of the ‘Below Stairs’ experience shall see Kelmarsh open a previously unseen area to the public. 

The Heritage Lottery Funded project, Tunnelling through the Past, promises to give families a fun day out, through augmented reality and sensory experiences.  The new area captures the voices of those who lived and worked at Kelmarsh, offering an insight to a servant’s working life.  The Hall’s fine rooms and gardens will also be part of the Grand Opening, with self-led tours and children’s activities. From April 1st to October 31st Kelmarsh Hall and Gardens will be open for visitors on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays, along with gardens only on Thursdays.

Join the Hall Steward Volunteers at Kelmarsh Hall!

Kelmarsh Hall are recruiting Hall Stewards to join their volunteer team from March 2018 onwards. 

With the completion of the new ‘below stairs’ area, the servant’s quarters and old laundry is now open to the public, along with the fine rooms of the Hall and the beautiful gardens.  Hall Stewards play an important role in opening the doors to our visitors and ensuring they have a fantastic day.  If you enjoy history, meeting new people and want to capture the stories of Kelmarsh to our visitors, then this is the role for you! Planning a group visit to  Kelmarsh this year…

Kelmarsh Hall is offering new group visit packages from April this year. 

With the completion of the ‘below stairs’ conservation project, exploring the lives of the servants at Kelmarsh, groups can now book a visit for either a guided tour or self-led visits throughout the year.  With the Hall opening over a dozen new spaces to the public for the first time, it is the perfect opportunity to discover all this historic property has to offer.  Groups can also book a visit to the Grade II listed gardens, or combine it with a visit to the Hall and basement, to discover all this beautiful countryside property has to offer.
