Cransley Hospice is excited to announce the opening of our new Cransley Hospice Coffee Shop in Dalkeith Place, Kettering, next door to our Charity Shop. It is open Monday to Saturday
10am to 4pm.

Our Coffee Shop is staffed by many volunteers and run by our Shop Manageress, Suzanne,
and two Assistant Managers: Sarah and Kirsty. We hope that it will be a thriving shop for the community to enjoy, serving home-made cakes, quality coffee, afternoon tea and other light meals. In addition, we aim to open its doors for professionals on aspects such as benefi t rights and support and hold fundraising events such as quizzes and ladies’ health evenings, like our popular Pamper Day events. We also aim to sell books, promote Hospice events and have an art wall for local artists to display their work so we can embrace and incorporate the local community on many levels.

After months of planning, we are so pleased with the outcome and can personally recommend
the delicious cakes and refreshments on offer. In addition to all of this, we have opened up an access route from the back of our current Charity Shop into the store room that is at the rear of both shops. This is in order that we can make use of this to store goods for the charity shop as storage space is currently very limited.

As the plans for this exciting scheme have progressed we have been overwhelmed with the support it has received so far from so many people, including those offering professional
services, volunteering their time and offering to bake cakes.

To update you on our fundraising, our last Pamper Day raised over £600 for the Hospice, with 12 local therapists giving their time and therapies at a reduced rate enabling our
supporters to enjoy the day. We are now looking for a new venue for the daytime event
and would be pleased to hear any suggestions here at the Fundraising Offi ce. We are
planning a smaller evening event with seated treatments only available, which could be held
in our Coffee Shop.

Events are always being held in the local community in support of Cransley Hospice:

A Soul & Motown Night raised £494, Youth Brass 2000 held a Concert raising £485, and a
collection was held at Tesco, Kettering, raising £1,419.

Our Easter Basket initiative raised in the region of £1,000. This is a great way for your workplace or business to fundraise for the Hospice, we provide an Easter/Christmas Hamper or just a general goody basket for you to promote.

Please contact the Fundraising Offi ce if you would like to take part in this venture, or indeed if you have any goods to donate which could be used in hampers. We would love to hear from you. We thank you, as always, for your continued support.
