Fiona Swan, of Fiona Swan Curtains & Blinds, opened her new shop in Oundle in June. Having outgrown the premises in Thrapston, where she has been based for 17 years, Fiona decided it was time to move. Thrapston has been very good to Fiona and she’ll miss the vibrant High Street and the familiar faces, but is looking forward to Oundle life at the heart of the town, on West Street.

The shop was a bridal shop with wonderful big windows - perfect for viewing and displaying the gorgeous range of fabrics. Fiona stocks a wide range of fabrics and trimmings, and the fabric library has familiar brands to browse through, such as Harlequin, Prestigous, Swaffer, Ian Mankin and Clarke & Clarke, amongst many others. These are complemented by a range of beautiful trimmings from Copper Fox and James Hare. The collections are continually being extended; most recently added, is a stunning collection of bespoke curtain poles from Byron & Byron. There are also sample books available, of roller, vertical and venetian blinds alongside wooden slatted blinds.

Another new addition this autumn will be a range of made to order pieces of furniture in the customer’s choice of fabric, plus a new range of lighting and home items are also on the horizon.

Clients are guided through the process of choosing fabrics and discussing the designs, to help Fiona to deliver the fi nished, bespoke window treatments. There is a free measuring and quotation service with your initial enquiry. Appointments can be made by telephone, email, or via website enquiries.
