From humble beginnings with just a few hundred people attending nine years ago to last year’s turnover of fifteen thousand, this year’s Foxton Locks Festival will be the biggest yet with a Lottery grant well spent to improve the customer experience.

A total of forty live acts will take place over the weekend of Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th June, with King King and the Ruttles headlining.  There is a large arena that will feature everything from a dog show to historic re-enactment, and even ferret racing!  This year will also feature a larger fun fair, Punch & Judy and a host of children’s entertainment

More than eighty craft stalls offer something for everyone and there will also be craft boats selling different produce.  A large licenced bar, a cocktail bar, a slushy stall, coffee, ice cream and soft drinks stalls will keep everyone suitably refreshed, and if you are hungry there are a variety of food vendors offering a range of food from good old fashioned burgers and fish and chips through to South African and vegan/vegetarian.

The event is being hosted by Hfm, the best local community radio station, and overnight camping and space for caravans and motor homes is also available.

Tickets are £8 per day, under 16s free, and lots of free parking.
