Cottage garden plant
sale at Little Oakley

Home-grown plants and afternoon
teas will be on offer in the beautiful
garden of Moat Cottage, Little
Oakley, the home of Diane and
Barry Bright, at the annual plant
sale in aid of charity on Sunday
15th May from 1.30pm to 5pm.

There will be summer bedding,
perennials, herbs, hostas and
vegetable plants on sale in aid
of Amicus, a local charity which
supports young people with
autism and their families. The
event is building on the success
of last year’s sale, which raised
£600 for Riding for the Disabled.

For ideas on planting, you will be
able to stroll through the Moat
Cottage garden to see how the
garden has evolved over the past
30 years. Amicus supporters
will be serving afternoon tea and
cakes and there will be a stall
selling cakes, preserves and
crafts.

The plants on sale will help you to add colour and interest
to your garden and there will be experienced gardeners
on hand to give advice.

Little Oakley, which dates from Anglo Saxon times, is
between Corby and Kettering and is one of the smallest
villages in Northamptonshire. There are three working
farms, 26 houses and a redundant church.

There will be plenty of parking. Just follow the signs when
you get to the village. Some plants may be available after
the open day, so please call Diane on 01536 745013 to
arrange to visit.
