Tickets £12, conc. £10

A darkly comedic and sensitive look at one man’s life with depression.  Small Nose Productions bring you a moving and playful adaptation of Matthew Johnstone’s international bestseller I Had a Black Dog.  Enjoy the simple telling of a love story.  Boy meets a girl and they fall in love.  But the boy doesn't come alone.  There is a third party in the form of... a black dog who is always by Joe’s side, sometimes hiding in the corner, sometimes sleeping in their bed.  When the black dog firmly moves in with the couple for a long stretch, the effects of its presence get bigger and bigger.  Can Joe tame the beast and keep the girl?

The Strange Case of  Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde
Monday 20th November, 7.45pm
Tickets £12, conc. £10

Doctor Henry Jekyll is a good man.  Successful within his field and respected by his peers, he’s close to a neurological discovery that will change the face of medical science forever.  However, his methods are less than ethical, and when a close friend and colleague threatens to expose and destroy his work, Jekyll is forced to experiment on himself, whereupon something goes very wrong… or very right.  And suddenly Jekyll has a new friend, the brutal Edward Hyde.  Blackeyed Theatre’s thrilling adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s dark psychological fantasy, The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll And Mr Hyde immerses you in the myth and mystery of 19th Century London’s fog-bound streets where love, betrayal and murder lurk at every chilling twist and turn. Gripping, stylish and thought-provoking, this is unmissable theatre.  Go on... treat your dark side!  Age guidance 11+.

Macbeth
Thursday 7th through Saturday 9th December, 7.45pm -
Tickets £6

Weary and bloodied from a bitter battle, two brave soldiers approach a huddle of wizened gypsies.  The women predict greatness for one of the men.  When he shares the prophecy of Kingship with his ambitious wife, Macbeth sets in motion a terrifying series of events that lead to murder and madness.  As the country descends into chaos and bloodshed, the paranoid King struggles to hang on to his crown and his sanity.  Here, Shakespeare’s iconic tragedy will be reimagined against the backdrop of the Kosovo war.  Performed by the talented pupils of Oundle’s Third to Upper Sixth Form and directed by Naomi Jones, the production promises to remind audiences of Shakespeare’s enduring contemporary resonance.
