Summer is coming at Lamport Hall!

We are lucky to have so many beautiful stately homes to visit in our local area, and one such gem is Lamport. The Hall and 10-acre gardens are open from Easter to October this year, and there are events throughout the season for every age. Coming up are: Art, Craft and Design Fair on 4th & 5th May. A great chance to see craftworkers in action. Come along to buy some gorgeous handcrafted products as an ideal gift or a little treat for yourself. Pick up some tips and inspiration. Jewellery, artwork, mosaics, ceramics, traditional woodwork and rural craft workers will all be showcased in the wonderful setting of the Edwardian stable block.

There will be cream teas and refreshments. Festival of Country Life on 25th & 26th May. Antiques, food hall, exhibits and displays including falconry, working horses and hounds, vintage tractors and steam engines and a fun dog show. See also our WW1 exhibition. A great day out for all ages.

The Hall itself is full of beautiful contents, accumulated by the same family - the Ishams - over 400 years. The Hall and the gardens are open every Bank Holiday Sunday & Monday, as well as every Wednesday & Thursday afternoon.

Look out for our world-famous garden gnome, the oldest gnome on the planet, as well as our
remarkable three-seater toilet! 2014 marks 40 years since the Isham family set up the charitable trust that looks after Lamport today. To celebrate this, we are unveiling a new exhibition that tells the story of the Hall and its owners down the centuries. We are also
launching an exhibition about the famous Northamptonshire writer “BB” - Denys Watkins-
Pitchford. Both exhibitions are a defi nite “don’t miss” for those who love the beauty and history of Northamptonshire!
