Oundle Music Trust will be bringing the Razzle Dazzle back to Oundle this Autumn with a ‘not to be missed’ concert featuring sophisticated, witty and sometimes emotional songs by many of the 20th Century’s greatest composers.

On Saturday 3rd November, a performance of Serious Cabaret will be showcased at St Peter’s Church, Oundle. The cabaret is performed by Mary Carewe, who is one of the most accomplished and versatile concert and recording artists in the UK and her regular duo partner, Philip Mayers, an Australian musician of remarkable versatility. Spanning the entire 20th century Serious Cabaret will present an array of Berlin Cabaret, Art, Broadway and Contemporary Cabaret songs, from Gershwin and Coward to Britten and Kurt Weill, featuring songs from their CD Serious Cabaret on Orchid Classics plus a few surprises. Their visit to Oundle will follow performances of Serious Cabaret at King’s Place, London, and the CBSO Centre, Birmingham. The Concert starts at 7.30pm.

Oundle Music Trust will bring their 2012 season to a thrilling finale, with Tangomotion at Stahl Theatre, Oundle on Thursday 6th December. This performance is just in time for your Christmas Party so step away from your television sets and ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and experience the delights of the Tango in the flesh!

Tangomotion will take you breathtaking journey into the heart of Tango Argentino and the performance features some of the worlds’ leading tango dancers who are accompanied by live music from Tango Siempre. The performance will include virtuoso displays of traditional tango dance in stunning costumes to the exquisite tango music of 1930s Buenos Aires and the powerful nuevo tango of Astor Piazzolla. The performance starts at 7.30pm.
