Sunday 12th June will see the 3rd annual Funday, arranged by The Lions Clubs of Corby, Kettering and Market Harborough. Come and join in the fun between 11am and 4pm in the very pleasant surroundings of East Carlton Park on what is hoped to be a nice, sunny day!
The event is aimed at families and hence there will be a bouncy castle, inflatable slide and carousel. For the more adventurous, there will be archery and paintballing amongst other games. For the motoring enthusiasts, there will be members of the Kettering Modified Car Club and Classsic Motorcycle Club, as well as local car dealer Hyundai. There will also be displays by Market Harborough Sea Scouts, Corby Highland Dancers and a Gymnastic team.
Corby Radio is providing the background music and announcements throughout the day. The organisers hope to have up to fifty gift/craft and charity stalls for visitors to browse – there are a few spaces left, so please contact John on 01536 741509 if you are interested in having a stall.
This year, the proceeds from the event are being shared between Help for Heroes, The Rainbow Children’s Hospice and Lion’s Charities. Over the past two years, this event has raised over £2500 for charities. Entry to the park is free but the organisers hope visitors will make a donation for car parking to help fund these worthy causes and hope to see you there!
