Colemans’ branch in Kettering reaches a fantastic milestone this year – celebrating 40 years of trading in the town. Back in 1974, John Coleman opened a little shop in Market Street selling office stationery, following his success with branches in Higham Ferrers and Wellingborough. The shop soon outgrew its confined premises and, in 1985, not long after John’s daughter, Joanna, had Not wishing to let the grass grow under their feet, Colemans had in 1988 the opportunity to acquire another commercial stationery supplier in the town: Days Office Supplies which, at the time, was owned by Pegasus Software and occupied lovely big premises in Newland Street. It was decided to move everything up to the top end of town and that is where Colemans has traded from ever since. Over the years, Colemans has expanded their professional art department and their craft section to accommodate the changing needs of their customers, but good old-fashioned stationery remains at the heart of what they offer - with the good old-fashioned service to go with it! Today, under the management of Liz and her team: Lynn, Hayley, Sarah, Jennie, Jo and ‘The Saturdays’, Colemans of Kettering offers a free daily delivery service to local businesses, a transactional website and a comprehensive product range in stock, with thousands more As part of their 40th anniversary celebrations, Colemans is organising a 70’s party day on Saturday 29th November with face painting, art demonstrations, free gifts, goody bags and some fantastic offers across their full range of products.
