After an impressive debut in 2013, The Great Gorilla Ride is back! On Sunday 7th September, starting in Oundle, the three routes will take you on a tour of Northamptonshire and the surrounding counties most challenging climbs and descents. Come and see why Oundle was chosen for the Grand Depart of The Women’s Tour of Britain 2014. An exciting and noteworthy ride on the sportive calendar and one not to miss!

Long Route: 104 miles, start 7.30-8am, Pre-registered £26 (£30 on the day)

Medium Route: 70 miles, start 8-8.30am, Pre-registered £26 (£30 on the day)

Short Route: 42 miles, 8.30-9am, Pre-registered £21 (£25 on the day)

Riders are set off in staggered groups, with all riders on the road by 9am. All riders under 18 must have a parent/guardian with them on the day and a parental/guardian consent form must be signed at the registration desk.  Minimum age for participants is 16 years.  This is a non-competitive event and all riders must adhere to the safety guidelines.

The Great Gorilla Ride includes electronic chip timing, web results service, full route marking, rider public liability insurance, mechanical support, pick-up wagon, event photography, well-stocked feed stations, free parking, refreshments at start, and a rider pack with energy bar and map. There is a hot lunch and a pint of beer for all riders on return.
