Northamptonshire’s sailing clubs are getting ready to Push the Boat Out in May as they take
part in a nationwide event that will see hundreds of sailing clubs across the country opening their gates for local people to come and have a FREE go at sailing.

As part of National Watersports Month, all six of the county’s sailing clubs will be hosting Open Days welcoming all new-comers to enjoy a free taste of sailing, and at some clubs windsurfing too, under the watchful eye of experienced instructors and sailors.

All the clubs: Hollowell, Cransley, Middle Nene, Northampton, Banbury and Rugby & Daventry,
are holding RYA Start Sailing courses for both adults and juniors during the year and these
Open Days are the perfect chance to sample the sport at no cost.

RYA Start Sailing introduces people to the basics and gives them the best first experience
in the sport, while also providing opportunities for them to then stay involved and keep improving their skills at friendly, welcoming clubs.

Full Open Day details, 2014 RYA Start Sailing course dates and further taster session information can be found on the clubs’ websites. For more information on RYA Push the Boat Out 2014 visit www.rya.org.uk
