Following the success of the fourth Oundle Food Festival in July, when an estimated 10,000 people turned up, this year’s Oundle Christmas Market will, for the fi rst time be a joint venture between the festival organisers and Oundle Town Council.

The Christmas Market and the turning on the town’s Christmas lights has been going for many years, starting off life on a Thursday, then moving to Friday. This year, also as a fi rst, it will be held on a Saturday. From 12noon on Saturday 7th December this festive event will celebrate wonderful, local produce with a traditional Christmas feel. The market will be fi lled with music, carols and mulled wine, culminating in Santa ‘fl ying’ in to turn on
the town’s Christmas lights at 6pm. The stalls will be decorated with fairy lights, and the shops decorated and looking festive.

The line up of stallholders is already looking fabulous with some 60 stalls expected on the day. Some will be returning stallholders from the summer but there will also be new faces, selling an amazing diversity of produce and a range of Christmas food. There will be plenty of great Christmas gifts and ideas from Christmas trees and decorations to charcuterie and cakes.

Craftsmen will be selling beautiful, handmade products suitable for Christmas presents. Street theatre and music will entertain you during the day and street food will be available to keep you warm and fed!

Don’t miss this opportunity to get in the Christmas spirit and support your local busineses.
